Om Shanti!
I have been probably to a few spiritual organizations in my
life, and I must say Brahmakumaris have been by far the best among the lot. They are the most
loving and caring organisation that I have ever been to.
They are very well managed, run professionally and with a
touch of deep empathy.
The extraordinary thing is that they are managed by women,
which makes it even more wonderful.
But then what makes them unique and worth going to...
It is the way they treat their children (sadhaks), that makes them
special. The warmth with which the Didi’s at the centre, welcome each
participant with open arms, making him feel extremely important to them.
This is what makes me feel going back to them again and
again. You don't come to a place seeing big buildings or fancy cars, you see
how you are made to feel.
The vibrations in any centre of the brahmakumaris is of purity, peace and happiness, you are turned inward just by the glance of these living angels, Brahmakumaris. They radiate a light of peace through their face as a result of their hours of their tapas. (Dhyan (meditation)).
I may not be in total agreement to everything in their teachings but, Does it matter? What matters is how you are made to feel in the institution. They don't live in a hypocritic world, they are very practical and help in times of distress.
They assisted by sending an anaesthetic doctor to the
hospital when it was scarce to find one, absolutely free of cost, this is just
one of the many helps, to state. Not trying to belittle their importance. In
brahmakumaris, it isn't the ashrams interest (construction ashrams, temples
etc), it is the devotee’s interest that is paramount.
As I said I have been to a few other spiritual institutions,
many institutions belittle you, make you feel unworthy and believe that
everyone is sold out to their hypocrisy.
They see a person from a two-way prism either you are a
pauper who is begging for a healthcare treatment etc. or you are person who
they can extract money from.
There is no third state person and hardly any interest on
spiritual welfare.
Many spiritual institutions that I have seen, even before you put your foot inside their premises, they recite their mantra .."Donations Please” as if it is their entitlements (It is their birthright).
If you give, you receive Godly treatment else you are made
to feel an outcast.
And the problem is once you donate, you are expected to
donate every time you visit and in addition you receive regular phone calls for
donation just like the ppl who sell credit cards, unashamedly. They say seva... and it is usually one way - you donate and you do seva- they receive
and go on receiving.
Om Shanti!
