A phenomenon called “Narendra Modi”
“People ask what your vision is, what is your big vision? I say ‘bhai’, I got here by way of selling tea (crowd erupts in applause). I am a simple (Chhota) man. I like focusing on simple and small tasks. I want to accomplish big things for the little guy.” –Narendra Modi
I am sure Modi era would be written as a golden era in Indian history whenever it gets published something similar to Ashoka rule of the Mauryan empire. Our future generations would be enticed and overawed by the beauty called Narendra Modi.
I think India is in the brink of a revolution with a revolutionary and dynamic leader Modi ushering a golden period for India.
I believe as patriotic Indians we need to make the best use of it rather than repent it later(read Mamta Banerjee,NDTV).People opposed to Narendra Modi should release that the country has a PM who has business acumen to negotiate with the US and Japan effectively, Kshatriya skills to take on the diktaks of China head on,political manoeuvre to take all parties along ,and above all who serves selflessly for the welfare of the economically backward sections of the society.

Rahul Gandhi to be a better Prime Minister than Priyanka Gandhi
The perception in and around the people of India especially the media is that the fairer sex Priyanka Gandhi would be a better leader than Rahul Gandhi. It is widely believed that she would be able to win more votes and is a mass leader like Indira Gandhi.
On the contrary it is believed widely that Rahul Gandhi does not have the charisma that she may have ,has a low IQ,is a bunny of online trolls and not a mass leader who is able to generate votes and has not been able to ensure a win for the Congress.
The slogan from the party workers is “Priyanka laoo Congress Bachoo”.
I think Priyanka Gandhi being a magic wand and will be able to save the sinking ship of the Congress is a myth.I do not believe she in any way has the expertize to be in politics, forget winning it as the results of the recent UP elections do show. Her insistence on 105 seats at the cost of an alliance is very deplorable.Neither has she been able to win any seats in Amethi or make a big difference in Rae Bareli.
On the other Rahul Gandhi has more experience being in politics for sometime now and learnt the trade. He listens to people (read congress leaders etc.) knows the importance of collision (taking people along as in UP and Bihar) and does not live in myth or shadow of Congress being the Grand Old Party of India. He learns from mistakes faster and ready to play second fiddle if the situation demands so,thus making him more opportunistic of winning the elections in the years ahead.Rahul Gandhi though would do a lot better just working in silence.
Priyanka Gandhi definitely speaks better but she neither has the organisational skills or political acumen to be a successful politician and also still lives in the myth of Grand old party of India called Congress.
Though for either of them to be the Prime Minister of India they would definitely need to wait for the man of the moment called Narendra Modi to retire from active politics.
Also the voters are showing an interesting trend in UP,Bihar and Maharashtra muncipal polls of supporting development politics than freebies politics, though Kerala being an exception.

Dance bars to open in Maharashtra: Supreme Court
I think it is better
to have strip clubs than dance bars.
In my view, the move of the honorable SC ruling is a little
regressive and myopic. The aspect that the people in the profession will lose
their jobs is absolutely misplaced. It is again a case of misplaced
compassion. The same reasoning was given for people who run alcohol bars in
Bihar, they were told that they would to be provided with alternate profession
of selling milk.
I think the honorable SC should not fall prey in the traps of these
scrupless people who run these dance bars and their clients who are giving it
twist of “decent means of earning a living”, for their own ulterior motives.
I request the respected SC, to pass a ruling of banning
these dance bars again and I think the Maharashtra Government under Devendra
Fadnavis be fully capable of providing alternate professions to these dance bar
girls ,by skilling them ,those who are interested,in various skills like speaking english, tailoring ,housekeeping
and computer literacy and not fall prey to the ulterior motives of the few who
run the show.

My All time Favourite Movies in Malayalam and Hindi
Calling somebody else fat won't make you any skinnier. Calling someone stupid doesn't make you any smarter.
Cinema takes you to an high , it shows you what to dream, it entertains, some enlighten, some give hope, few also inspire. Some instill national pride. It takes you to a world of ecstasy. It provides joy, happiness and makes one smile . It takes you away from the pain, despair and misery. These creative people also do a great service to the society by bringing people from different strata s of society, different regions, different cultures, different religions and different castes and tribes together.
A list of absolutely mesmerizing Indian Cinema from Malayalam and Hindi. A must watch.

Fortunate to be born in an Infosys Era
Valuable advice can sometimes come from an unexpected source, and chance events can sometimes open new doors.-NR Narayana Murthy
I have always prided the fact that I have been born in an Infosys era.Infosys has always been an Indian pride for each one of us in school. We have always looked up to Infy as an Indian brand.
Vishal Sikka ,CEO Infosys,is easily one of the most credible
CEO’s around the world and would do a
lot of good if he comes down to
India,and settles down here.
It is easier to manufacture an Indian worldclass car for India roads with Indian people, being in India than
being in United States.

Long queues and Demonitization
I am in queue for Shah Rukh Khan's latest "Dear Zindagi".
A person collapsed before my eyes today....he was also standing in a Queue,...but wait this was not a queue for withdrawing cash from an ATM or bank...he was standing in long queue for buying alcohol. In Kerala queues for alcohol have been very famous and it streches for km and miles, but still I have never seen any political party protest these queues.
Many deaths have happened and continue to happen over the previous decades by the menice of alcohol, but nobody questions it,nobody bans it.Many families lose their near and dear ones for alcohol, many don’t even get to have a decent livelihood due to addiction to alcohol. Many childrens education gets stopped, due to lack of money, many face social stigma ,and no to say about the domestic violence it causes. Many families have got destroyed, but nobody talks about banning them.I am never come across political parties who protest these.
We do stand in longer queues for getting our railway tickets in any of the suburban trains in Mumbai and waiting in Airports,Road Traffic and the queues have been long for ages now but still I do not find any protest for these by any political parties.
Talking about queues closer to my workplace we have long queues in our canteen to buy lunch everyday, but we still find no people protesting.

Parippally orphanage a symbol of love not Taj Mahal
Love is opening up of the soul, not an obsession.
I celebrated my Diwali along with some bright children of Parippally Orphanage adopted and run
by Mata Amritanandamayi Devi Math ,burst crackers with them ,played football
and enjoyed every bit of it.
It is the just the joy and smiles on the faces of these
children that make Paripally a symbol of Love.
I believe the people who meet the children here light
up,rather then the other way round.
Some curious thoughts come to my mind.
I am very astonished that people believe “Taj Mahal” is
an epitome of love.Taj Mahal was constructed out of sheer madness and it
cannot be a symbol of love.
It is symbol of selfishness, of anarchy and obsession as demonstrated by the Shah Jahan by cutting of the hands of the labourers who built the Taj Mahal so that they are not able to replicate the structure.
I am still astounded by the ignorance of people who call Taj Mahal a monument of love.
A symbol of love ,is a place where people feel happy and
smiles come from within the heart and soul –like the Parippally Orphanage.

Anandam-Parmanadam
Cinema is an art it doesn't give you what you desire - it tells you how to desire.
A malayalam movie film which is fresh and innovative.
It has a fragnance of a “mulla poo”(jasmine) and beauty of a
horizon. The charm and innocence of a child’s smile.
It has a refreshing humour which keeps the people coined to
their seats for the entire duration of the film.
The film with 20 year olds give a fresh breadth to new age
cinema, the director, productor, actors all bring fresh air into the young
generation cinema.
It takes you to a fantacy world for the duration of the
cinema and keeps to entertained in its real sense still the end which I believe
is missing in either hollywood or bollywood movies.
Other fimmakers around the world can look towards Malayalam
cinema and can give reins to young hands.
There may not have been a story, no social message but I it
provides me enough reason to smile coming out of the cinema hall.

Misplaced Compassion
Righteousness is the truth within.
Today we are in danger of falling prey to misplaced compassion. Like pleading for the case of Afzal Guru,by some prominent people like P.Chidambaram and a few JNU students.
Also the recent case of Burhan Wani ,being projected as a martyr
by some media channels.
I believe totally in the word compassion in both letter and spirit,
but shouldn’t we be careful of misplaced compassion. Burhan Wani being treated
as a Hero is pretty unfortunate.
Shouldn’t we exercise
compassion towards our innocent people who have lost life’s because of Burhan
and Afzal Guru.Shouldn’t the people killed by these terrorist deserve more
respect , thought and prayers.
Shouldn’t the country be righteous towards these innocent
citizens whose near and dear ones have been lost.
Shouldn’t the media and the people think a little about the
innocent people who have faced the brunt of theses hardcore militants. Also in the
cases of some famous film personalities the media does exercise false
compassion thus influencing a major chunk of people instead of sticking to the
truth and being righteous towards the innocent people who have been affected by
them.
Today in the name of compassion we are pardoning hardcore
terrorists, (the media projects them as matyrs) we are showing compassion
towards them and being absolutely heartless towards the innocent people who
were killed by them. Thousands of pages of print media , plenty of prime time
has been devoted to these fundamentalists but not a single ounce for my innocent
citizens.Are they not our citizens?
Many army men, many paramilitary jawans have lost their lifes doing their duty. There children and mothers have not done any sin,do they not have any expectations from my country and its people.
Many army men, many paramilitary jawans have lost their lifes doing their duty. There children and mothers have not done any sin,do they not have any expectations from my country and its people.

False rape cases on a high…
Strengthen the muscles of your heart not the muscles of your hand-Mata Amritanandamayi Devi
In 2012 India as a whole was shook by the Delhi rape case. And
there were lot of outrage shown by media and society to deal sternly with the accused.
As a part of a civilized society I take great pride in appreciating the actions
of the people of my country,be it activitists, media ,politicians or the judges.
But what is alarming is that such uproar and havoc had been
created of the right reasons but the after effects have been gruesome, cruel and harmful.
There has been an increase in the number of false rape cases
being reported by women to settle personal scores.
Two of my friends have been at the receiving end of this
law .(both different cases).
Under law of IPC section 376(1),stating ---raping after
promising marriage,he was arrested.
And on what basis do they arrest the person ,just on the
basis of single police complaint by the girl.No verification,no history of the
women is taken in to account.
In an age of live in relationships and premarital stands ,a
literate city girl easily misuses this law to get back at the guy ,whom she had
physical intimacy with consensually at a time when they were in a relationship.
The guy has the full right to say that they were in a mutual relationship and after finding each others differences and
attitude had moved on.
My friends life’s have been shattered, their family have a
social stigma attached to them. They have difficulty in seeing what the future
would be. The parents face social humiliation everyday. I wonder what is their fault? And
what is his?I know the courts would acquit him,but the damage has already been done."Its difffcuilt to walk on the streets outside …people look at me as I
am a rapist”—he says."I ask him to tell
them to fu*k off”.
The girl on her part has no such baggage, she is not forced to have feel
any humialiation, she is full of political vendetta. Her family is not facing
any social stigma. And above all if the case which she files goes against her
she has nothing to lose.Neither will she have to face any criminal proceedings,
neither is any compensation penalty imposed on her.
I call upon all activists, media , lawmakers , law implementers
and society to shown the same alertness in dealing with this rising menace of
false rape cases in order to sustain the
harmony in a civilized society.
Media so called fourth pillar of democracy plays an
important role in creating awareness about provisions of law and consequences
of filing false rape cases against innocent alleged accused .It is important to
mention the observations of Fast Track Court Judge while acquitting the alleged
accused and highlighted the role of media in following words:
“I hope and trust that the media, which is an important
pillar of our democratic set up, would strive to highlight the plight of rape
accused after their acquittal by courts in the same way in which they report
filing of rape cases.” [Para 12]
Court further observed that “Be that as it may, the accused
herein is acquitted. This is all what this court can do in his favour. Rest is
upon the society in general and media in particular how they would treat the
accused hereafter.” [Para 13]
I have written a few posts on my blog on women
empowerment,I believe in it completely that women have to be empowered---empowered
in the heart rather than in the head,as my spiritual guru Mata Amritanandamyi Devi puts
it clearly “Strengthen the muscles of your heart not the muscles of your hand.”---only
then true empowerment happens.

Times of India a pornographic newspaper.
Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things
that matter.-Martin King Luther
If the only enthusiasm with which Times of India works is
increasing its sales and publications then it should start publishing nude and pornographic material,I am sure its
sales would quadruple.
Increasing sales may be important but having media ethics is
most important.A newspaper without ethics is bound to fold up in the long run.
If the newspaper concentrates only on cleavage and bare
essentials of a celebrity ,then god bless them.
The newspaper Hindu is right in criticizing the Times of India publishing the picture of
Deepika padukone. If this is the way that they are going to increase the sales then
god help them and good luck to their sort of journalism.
There is an increase in molestation ,rape cases and crime
rates, one of the reasons attributed is vulgar movies and obsene photography and
Times of India, I must say ,plays into those hands authoritatively.

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan an excellent initiative
My kingdom has fallen because I had built it with power, but the kingdom of Jesus Christ will last forever because it was built on love. - Napoleon Bonaparte”
The change has to percolate into the people, but an inspiring start has been made. When the consciousness of the people change, then India will be cleaner than any other country. This change will happen slowly. But the start has been made to clean India. When the driver of the change is the king or the PM ,the change is more rapid. His initiative of using the social media as a change maker by inviting the nine celebrities is a change driver.
The government has set an amount of two lakh crores have been scheduled to be spent on construction of toilets, maintaining and monitering clean toilets and for having a clean India. This amount if utilized properly would make a visible change and would be a driver for an healthy India.

Role of films in Society
What sells is getting made,if better products are made it would be sold more
A hit film shows the sense and sensibilities of the people who see the movie which in turn reflect that of the society. A films mirrors where and what the people think, dream and imagine.
Apart from providing an entertainment value, films also have a responsibility to the society. The filmmakers have a responsibility to bring about a change in the sensibilities of the people for the better.
In kerela at a certain point in time shakeela films were doing more business than main stream films, showing their diversion in sensibilities clearly.Today the shakeela film industry have been destroyed completely by main stream cinema making better cinemas by better writers and directors.
Filmmakers, superstars stand a responsibilty for making better cinema.Films are a depiction of the society, its values, thinking and imagination. It should show what happens in the society more than making money, only then would a nation align itself to greater heights.
The current jonder of cinemas being made in bollywood is complete crap.Mainstream bollywood superstars like Salman Khan and Shah Rukh khan should act in films that win critical acclaim as they have a huge fan following.
Better films like a Escape From Uganda or Urmi (both Malayalam movie)can only come with better people(talent),so there has to be an investment of time and effort on script writers, music directors and directors.
The role of India in the world is not to spread sexuality but spiritulism.

Amazing and effective Journalism by Sreenivasan Jain
The truth is like a lion. You don't have to defend it.Let it loose. It will defend itself.
His recent reporting from the Gaza strip about the Israel and the Palestine confict has been simply amazing.
The interview of a 10 year old Mohammad from Al-Shifha hospital in Gaza ,appealing to the world for the right to live peacefully and with freedom like every other child in the world has been simply moving.
The element of truth has been brought out.The question of how many Israelis have been killed ,have been unanswered, whereas the Israelis seems to have targeted innocent children ,women and civilians in large nos.
The theory that Hamas having superior weapons has also been drowned, with it having home made weapons to defend itself whereas the Israelis having high end weapons to attack pointed targets.
This type of true journalism deserves all the accolades and appreciation in this age of hype and breaking news.
In this age of media sensationalism where truth has faded, hype has taken over true journalism, this seems to bring a breadth of fresh air.
Hope this sets the trend for other news channels and journalists to follow.
