A Tribute to a universal icon - a legend - Roger Federer

I can cry as well as him,but I wish I could play as well as him.-Andy Murry

Was it your forehand groundstrokes,

Or was it your backhand crosscourt

Was it your aces

Or was it your dropshots

You had us all mesmerized

Was it your aura on the court

Or your charisma off it

You had us all astonished.

Was it your cries,

Or was it your smiles

Was it your defeats

Or was it your victories

You had us all stunned.

You do not inspire a generation

You do not inspire a nation

You inspire an octa generation (eight Generations)

You inspire an entire universe

You taught us more than our teachers

You taught us never to say die until its really over.

You taught us to fight till the end.

You taught us to cry uninhibitedly ,unashamedly and unapologetically

Roger Federer you always gave a breadth of fresh air.

Erosion of Values

Family, like branches in a tree, we all grow in different directions, yet our roots remain as one.

The values system which we imbibe are set to be instilled in our childhood by our parents and teachers which we come across. In today’s society we are reaching higher heights but the value system is degrading. They are degrading as a result of both parents working to make ends meet, the destruction of the joint family system and the adherence of the nuclear family system. In olden times there was a lot of emphasis was laid on joint families specifically in the Nair Community. The children meanwhile find their sources of happiness in mobile phones ,pubG,Instagram, fb or television.

On 2nd July 2022 we had a small family reunion in our native place Kidangoor, Kerala in which the three generations of our family met. Around 150 members attended. Many were meeting for the 1st time. Though we could not be a part of it, just seeing the videos and photos gave us tremendous joy.

The happiness of a householder (grihastha) is in meeting ones near and dear ones, in meeting our cousins, relatives and family members. Such happiness cannot be expressed in words. Sex, alcohol and money do provide a momentary pleasure but cannot replace the happiness derived from a family get-together. Neither is such joy found temple visits or saptahams, nor does a brahmachari accustomed to such bonding's.

Though there may be disputes related to property, monetary issues , the family provides a sense of security in times of distress and sorrow. It is said that the blood of the relatives are thicker than others and can fallback on them in times of difficulty.

Watching a movie or a cricket match or reading a book cannot replace the joy of a family reunion.

Such events do help to restore the values to an extent.

Hridayam Review

Thank you for making me who I am.- Hridayam

Vineet Srinivasan’s, the god of Malayalam Newgen cinema delivers a flawless movie in the musical retreat and campus romance “Hridayam”.

He extracts exemplary performances from the actors Pranav Mohanlal, Darshana Rajendran and Kalpana Priyadarshan.

Vineet know as the king of emotions, also knows the pulse of the youth which can be felt in the soulful music delivered by Hesam.

The movie though does lack the freshness or moments it had captured in the previous movies like Aanandam.

Overall the film is an musical and emotional retreat and captures the audience with the finest performances.

Pranav Mohanlal has reincarnated himself to deliver a flawless performance.
