Rural BPO's for poverty alleviation

Are rural BPO’s the next big thing in India?
Are they an answer to poverty alleviation in India?
Would they be a drop in the ocean for eliminating farmer suicides?
The answer is yes.

Farmer suicides have been due to crop failure ,i am sure to prevent such suicides there needs to be alternate form of livelihood for these farmers ,and for that skill need to be imparted atleast to 1 member of the family so that any untoward suitation can be prevented.

So there is a need of skill development & training at these places.

There was a school of thought which told me that famer should be absorbed in agriculture itself, but i am at this point not able to find an alternative ,in the failure of the crop ,the raw material itself not available, how can a farmer get absorbed into any, agro processing industry.
There definitely  can be some mobile vocational training given like sewing ,fabric painting etc.

Now will these rural BPO’s be able to tap into these so called layman?.

Would the client be excited about such a business model?

Would these be able to sustain themselves leave alone make profits?

And most importantly where to find a passionate and dedicated team for this venture?

Do these places have electricity and connectivity? Can rural BPO’s bring these to these places?

The answer is YES, HarVa and Desicrew  has done it.

Will it close down the urban BPO's.?

We respond by saying  we are not walmart we are just small retailers.

An eagles flight

I look into the morning sky I see the eagle flaps its wings in a rhythm, to take long smooth flight ,and it glides past the trees and skyscrapers ,rounds about its prey  and into the forests.

I watch in total amazment ,wanting  to emulate  the eagle ,flying effortlessly, high above the sky.

The crow tries to copy the eagle, trying to look similar, pretending to glide, pretending to flap its wings, but its throws up flat being caught as a minature crow.I say why do you copy, be yourself.

Something similar to sachin playing a cover drive, the elbow in proper position, the front foot forward and bat straight and perfect follow through.
Many again many try to copy unsucessfully,I again say,he is the master you only a shadow,be yourself.

or yesudas singing a melody like “radha tan premathodanao, nyan padanthe gita thodano Krishna
Pagal pole ninde uthram spashtam.”

The eagle  comes back to sit on a branch , flapping its wings in complete rhythm ,it flies again abosolutely effortlessly.

Newton’s law:Every action without a gun has an equal and an opposite reaction

Every morning I wake upto the noise of my parents fighting with each other, today morning also I was woken up by some noises, outside,I thought they may be squabbling over who would go to the bathroom first. But ,to my surpise I couldn’t hide my joy that the noise was from my neighbour’s house.and i thought my home had company, for I had always felt that the people in my housing complex were all asleep, just felt good that somebody else too had woken up or had a sudden awakening. The intensity of the fight was soaring and I wondered if it was Newton’s effect:

Somewhere else in the world a sad tragedy had taken place. In Connecticut, newton ,28 people had died been shot at by a gunman in a school. I am sure every action without a gun had an equal and opposite reaction.

Once somebody asked why is the nature so angry, with earthquakes ,volcanoes and other natural calamitites.Somebody answered saying nature is just a response to the human mind. The more the hatred in one’s mind the more such calamities. The larva is in the minds ,some accumulated, some instantaneous.
In recent times there has been an alarming increase in the spate of such attacks. The wars have helped in reducing the tolerance and escalating the hatred, for show of supremacy. The access to guns only makes it easier.

So what is the remedy?
The remedy is love, not fear ,mind it.
The remedy is devotional service, service with devotion, for it makes us expansive and compassionate towards each other. This explains the importance of large no. of temples and ashrams in place of jails and mental asylums, which are the places of service and devotion to lord.

And yes by that time my neighbou's squabbles had subsided and there were no casualites.I repeated every action without a gun has an equal and opposite reaction.

Respond Don't React

Honesty does not always bring a  response of love but is absolutely essential to it.

There was  an infamous episode between south indian superstar Mohanlal and writer Sukumar Azhikode about the removal of actor Tilakkan from AMMA.

Sukumar critizised the move and told mohalal that he was aging and was doing adds just to make money.Mohanlal responded by saying that it an internal matter of AMMA and said sukumar was having mental hallucinations.Sukumar filled a defamation case against mohanlal which later was withdrawn.

The way of disapproval was very  unhealthy and without intellectual merit.

Sukumar himself told that they should point the mistake in his works (sukumar has writer various books) or write a better  book than his.

The aspect which i am trying to highlight  is when we encounter situations where something is said against us, we need to response appropriately rather  than react using violence or putting up court cases.

It also does not state that we should keep quit .

There a famous story in which the king wanting to test Kungan nambair gives him stale food. He eats the food without complaining ,in the meantime he notices the cow dropping its dung, kungan nambiar says is the cow also being feed from the king kitchen.

This was just one of the citations of  a thoughtful response.

FARMER SUICIDES

Everyday I hear farmers commiting suicide
Each time I hear, I wonder why ?

Is it the drought?
Is it the unpaid loans?
Is it the scruples moneylenders?
Is it the hunger?
Is the esteem?
Is it the pride?  I wonder...

I am sure there is a solution for all...

Is it the loans that the government waives of at each election
And other times they are left to fend for themselves.

Some places I see lots of grains, lying, unutilised, rotting
Can’t they be distributed ,I wonder.
They say they don’t have cold storages,
As if cold storages have to be brought form Mars.

And every time government forms committee after committee
And report after reports
But still farmers go  on a suicide spree.
Sometimes the government prods itself saying ,
This year the no. of deaths are less than the last year
But isn’t a single death shameful.

Should I helplessly watch ,I wonder
Shall I tell them  STOP,DON’T,PLEASE
There is a solution for everything.
Can I give them an ounce of hope,I wonder?
Will they listen to my words,I wonder?
Will they understand and respond to my words,I wonder?

Can I bring back some happiness and smiles,I wonder...?
Can I empower them to a respectable and healthy life,I wonder...?

My Lifeline:Trains

The chaos of the trains,
the excitement of getting in
Or of  getting out that excites one  I wonder
The people all ready, some going westward, some eastward
All going some “ward.
Some getting down  from the train
Some wanting to get in
Some at the roofs ,
Some at the doors
All having a destination to go
The train accommodates them all without any complains
You are witness to some callings everyday ,everytime
Everyone is a hero here ,some local ranjikants
Who  stand at the doors and rooftops and show their stunts
And I must say they make you scary , at times a loud squeal escapes you
But must say they give even Bollywood a run for its money.
Whether it is the mornings,
the energetic faces fresh after a night’s sleep looking forward to their today
Or the evenings  where the faces show no emotion, tired and wanting to retire.
All trying to make ends meet, some ticketless, some with them
One one thing is common they all take THE TRAIN.

Counter-Strike

                     gatasun agatasums ca nanusocanti panditah
The wise lament neither for the living nor for the dead

Once an accused of a murder was produced before the court ,
He was asked to take an oath
“Gita paar hath rak kar kaho
 Jo bhi kahoge sach kahoge
sach ke siva kuch nahi kahoge”

The accused did as told and said “jo bhi kahuanga bhagwat gita ko hi kahunga , aur kuch nahi kahunga”

The court proceeding began and the judge asked the accused if he had something to say,
The accused did speak up and said ,Sir

vedavinasinam nityam ya enam ajam avyayam
katham sa purusah partha kam ghatayati hanta kam”
“vasamsi jirnani yatha vihaya
 navani grhnati naro parani
tatha sarirani vihaya jirnany
anyani samyati navani dehi

--Meaning how can a person who knows that the soul is indestructible ,eternal, unborn  and immutable kill anyone or cause anyone to kill?
As a person puts on new garments ,giving up old ones ,the soul similarly accepts new material bodies, giving up the old and unused ones.

Atha cet tvam imam dharmyam sangramam na karisyasi
tatah sva-dharmam kirtam ca hitva papam avapsyasi”
“sukha-dukha same krtva labhalabhau jayajayau
tato yuuddhaya yujyasva naivam papam avapsyasi

--Meaning if you do not perform your duty to fight ,then you will certainly incur sins for neglecting you duty.
But thou if you fight for the sake of fighting ,without considering happiness or distress ,you shall never incur sin.

The judge seemed least amused and directed the people to take his oath by the bible. The judge pronounced him guilty of killing and sentenced him to life imprisonment .And thus  he was crucified.

We all have our recreational activities ,some people love to dance maybe there are various forms like the Bharatnatiyam ,kathakali and  western forms like Salsa and ballroom dancing.drama, movies ,cricket etc.
I also am pretty found of salsa though  usually restrict myself to my home reading.writing and listening.

I am sure between all our recreational activities we can find sometime to inculcate a serving  attitude among ourselves.
So children lets tell our parents to inculcate a serving attitude in our grandparents, till then we can sit in our A/C rooms and play playstation 2 and counter strike.

Creation is victory,not sustenance

What is a victory,I was asked?
I said to create is victory.
What?
To create a better today.
·         Whether is be cleaner environment
·         A corruption free society
·        Ensuring law and order, a secure and safe space for living

So what am I capable of doing ,for a friend or an acquaintance
·         A good  job
·         A suitable bride
·         Lending money
·         A timely advice

So yes one wins not when one defeats an enemy or foe but when he conquers them to create a love filled environment.

Is capital punishment justified?

Yes it is.
I say for two reasons,
1.Its shows some solace to the grieving victims (forget the Bhopal gas tragedy)
2.It acts as a deterent to other Kasablikes.

I am told people are against capital punishment, I beg to differ again for many reasons
1.Reformation of any individual depends on the individual itself, not possible to reform all.
2.It shows the establishment (in this case government and judiciary) as weak and indecisive (like in ayodhya case)
3.Also the powerful seems to find ways to escape punishment fairly easily (like in ruchika molestation case)
4.Also there seems to be lot of resources (money and time)which can be utilised to better purposes of protecting the countrymen.

A nation should be where its subjects are able to live with peace, freedom and without fear
The judiciary and the government are for the innocent and law-abiding citizens of the nation, and not to protect and harness the criminals. It is noticed that it is these law-abiding citizens that often face the brunt of these criminals if they are not punished with urgency shown into the matter. If one criminal is saved the punishment is always for the innocents. Most definitely the masterminds should also be given capital punishment.

It also shows the country having strength and authority and not just a banana republic.

Often people ask whether human is bestowed to take another’s life ,APJ Kalam did also speak about the same when is rejected the mercy petition of the rape accused. I am to believe that while doing  duty,  my subjects(in this case the citizens and victims family members) are of paramount interest  to me ,hence there should be absolute righteousness in my conduct ,I am to believe the gita also supports the argument.

Many spiritual leaders may have different take on capital punishment, but as an establishment and authority am for capital punishment ,for the simple reason of serving my deserving subjects better.

My Social Strata

Teach them  love ,and you will see the change.

Are the reservations for the upliftment of the social strata, how much of it really uplifts?

My memories go back to the Std IX and my grades had dipped very low. There was a sudden dip in my grades and possibly the reason behind it my joining a tuition class which I did not adjust to. Actually did not like the teacher at all.

Sometimes it becomes difficult to make parents understand that the tuition is not working for me. Their argument being valid about the fact that we pay so much and still you are not able get marks like arjun (neighbours child)and crap.

This is where social strata comes in play, the right knowhow (information) should be given to socially backward people. In my case a right tuition class with a right teacher.

I was saved by a good teacher informing me of a good tuition class. I am sure, likewise, like me many people would be saved if they would receive the right information in time.

There have been situations when participating in a fancy dress competition or an English recitation competition has been not possible due to the social strata. When it comes to a recitation competition, it is where and how do you find a poem to recite.

Likewise it so happened that i did not know how to improve my comprehension in English ,a teacher of my mine suggested me a book  with unsolved comprehensions for practising  comprehension.
So the right information was very useful.

There had been issues in the hIndi grammer, almost 3/4th of my life ,did not know what i was doing wrong. Never understood that i had to practice grammer questions that are asked in the exams and not read the theory. Only in the last few years i realised where I went wrong .Many years of efforts before got wasted.

But yes one thing i was fortunate with were friends, amazing friends who had the knowhow and information. So guys into right to education  RTE do find your friends and perfect information.

So does these reservations help them make a better living?

FOR SMALL GAINS

For small gains, we do make big blunders.

For small gains,

For small gain of FDI in retail, the government lost its foresight, tried to appease Mayawati,by introducing a quota in promotions, not to forget her invocation in the national rural health scam has been totally forgotten

For small gain of FDI, the government lost Mamta banerjee

For small gain ,Mulayam Singh was said to have striked a deal with the government for being the vice president ,which eventually did not materlize.

For small gains, people have usually made big blunders in life.

History is privy to it.

For small gain China crossed Indian borders in 1962.

For small gain Pak did so most recently in 1999 at Kargil.

For small gain US invented Al Queda.

For small gains...

Where are the big gains,India

Where are the people who help make the big gains

Where are the leaders who the show the path  of righteousness and love.

Where are the leaders of character and conviction, who stand tall among superpowers

Where are the leaders ...India.

Show me the leaders...India.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

9//01/13

Once in 1958 the then PM Jawaharlal Nehru said that the government would make hotels, the 21 year old Atal bihari vajpayee said the governments job is to construct hospitals not hotel.Being a newcomer he was not heard too,and told that the government would make hotels and from the profit would make hospitals ,India was pro socialist and the government wanted to do everything.

The clock seems to have gone a full cycle from those days to today,India becoming pro-capitalist and puts up everything on sale.It wants FDI in power, education, and even healthcare. The question that comes to mind is if it wants everything on sale ,what does the governement  want to do? Just reduced to pay the utility bills (Oil,pension, and food etc)

The consequenses of private sector on healthcare can been seen and felt.....it had completely eroded the government healthcare sytem (hygiene and superspeciality care even in AIIMS absent as can be seen from the recent delhi rape case) and not to say that the cost of health care has risen exponentially, making it affordable to the elite few.Ditto with education.

Also sometime back there was talk of privatizing AirIndia, well that is a very easy thing to do.You buy an airline (TATA airways) which is profitable, make it loss making and then sell it of.

There is a growing feeling that the government is washing  its hands away from everything and put everything into the FDI basket. The governement feels less inclined to administer and more keen to play a watchdog. In the longer run this could be fatal...I am of the opinion  that healthcare, education and electricity  are state subjects, should be kept as one ,and should subsidised and available to anyone.

I am sure soon the government will come up with a proposal of putting north india and south india on FDI to China and US respectively.

Where are you

Tears have stopped rolling,
Eyes have dried
They do say blank

Don't know what  happiness is
Don't know where I can find it
Don't know if I can buy it

The crickets cricking
Makes me fear
Makes my heart crumble
If something may happen to you.

Every tomorrow is a yesterday night spent in fear
The dogs at the gates bark, sends my mind racing of what is to happen now.

Every tomorrow is seen more with despair than optimisim.
My heart calls out loud
Where r u
Where r u

I search for you in every passing girl
I search for you in every passing moment
I search for you every passing day

Is it divine play or devils play?

Why did you not call...

When you left
Why did you not tell,

When you came
Why did you not tell,

When I asked ,
Why did you not tell

When I asked repeatedly,
Even then you did not tell

Its 1 paisa per second these days

Nobody told,not a single soul
Neither my divinity,nor the rains
Not even NDTV.

The sun did arise ,so did marie kom
But i was kept in darkness
Why did you not tell.

I tried to find
I tried to ask
But nobody responded.

I did say ”I wait I wait”  a few months back
If only you had called once.

Should i curse destiny or mankind,i donot know
Definitely though ,fuck xxxxx – a school of bastards.

If only you had called once
If only you had called once

AND

If only i had known
If only I had known.

Teacher's Day-5th September

So what is education?
Is it about the 95% percentile in your exams?
Is it about having 85% attendance?
Is it about standing ALL INDIA RANK under 100?
OR
Is it about staying grounded always?
Is it about leadership?
Is it about teamwork?
Is it about honesty?
Is it about following ethics in  our professions like medicine  and media ?

Should it not be about consciousness, compassion and courage?
Should it not be about having clarity, curiosity and courtesy?
Should it not be about having a learning attitude always?
Should education not encourage serving others?
Should it not encourage taking risks and bold decisions to make a change for a better world?

Teachers are the fundamental backbone of the society and have to lead by example. The importance of teaching things by doing them is absolutely priceless.

The students need to be shown that the teachers are not about students having the highest grades, but much more than that ,that will shape the destiny of the child’s future.

The irrelevance and relevance of the marks and other essential qualities need to be stressed will shape their destiny.

The importance from marks needs to be shifted to more important qualities of humility and having a serving attitude.

Things are better learnt by setting an example. Hence the importance of project works and educational tours and trips.

Vivekananda said
1  Education is the manifestation of the perfection already in Man.
2   Religion is the manifestation of the divinity already in Man.

I am told education should be divided into two,
1.Formal -That will fetch jobs .
2.Spiritual -That will help us face challenges head on.
I beg to disagree, we just need few great teachers.

What is most important aspect that will take you forward ?
Is it talent?
Is it money?
Is it power?
Is it contacts?
 OR
Is it hard work?
Is it honesty?
Is it staying grounded?
Is it patience?
Is it being focussed?

Importance Of Vision

Vision elevates a nation

So what is a vision.

It’s like a jigsaw puzzle to be solved if one does not know what is the final image to be made how do we solve it.

Its like a map of india being cut to small parts and asking the children to solve it, unless you show them the image  of India ,how are they likely to complete the image.

All should try to make a map of India otherwise there will be many maps that will be created.
This is the importance of a vision, everyone working towards a common goal assisting each other where each gets an opportunity to perform to his or her optimum potential.

When a director makes a movie he has a vision about the product to be able to tell his actors about what he expects from them so that he will make a product to his satisfaction and optimum utilization of all actors, onscreen and also off-screen.

Similarly when a leader has a vision the nation prospers with the actors in it being told what needs to be done and utilizing their optimum potential.
It has been the presence of visionaries like Vikram Sarabhai in space research and Varghese Kurien in the WHITE revolution that India has seen tremendous progress in these areas.

In the absence of a vision it is like trying to do a mechanic’s job or having a child without knowing how to bring it up.

The vision for a nation usually consists of economic and spiritual properity. One without the each very harmful and the soul or the Mooladhar has to be the human resources. It also provides a framework around which would should function.

Upliftment of a nation happens only through empowerment of its people.

A vision cannot be building of skyscrapers, , it has to be keeping in mind the of properity to the people and taking care of their basic essential needs like education with values(hiring of good quality teachers and regular training with latest technologies and affordabilty) ,healthcare(affordability to all sections and uncorrupt doctors and hospitals with proper monitering of malpractises )and infratructure(water, electritcity and transportation),creation of employment opportunities by having good entrepreneurial spirit and empowerment of women.

A vision cannot be artificial,of Mumbai to shanghai;because Mumbai has to be Mumbai: it has to be real, achievable in a time bound manner. A vision helps the actors in it to be optimally utilized and prosperity ensured.

Learning is the beginning of wealth. Learning is the beginning of health. Learning is the beginning of spirituality. Searching and learning is where the miracle process all begins.

Sovereign,Socialist,Secular,Democratic,Republic OR Political Gunsmanship

"It is rare to be born as a human being,
It is still rarer to be born without any deformity.
Even if you are born without any deformity,
It is rare to acquire knowledge and education.
Even if one could acquire knowledge and education,
It is still rare to offer service to the mankind and contemplate on the higher self.
If one leads such a selfless divine life,
The gates of heaven open to greet such an evolved soul"

Are we living In a democracy?
Recently we did have an exodus of people moving from banglore and Mumbai back to NE eastern states.
We are told they did not feel safe and we did have thousands of people living in the major cities travelling back overnight. Did you have the same feeling anytime on your own.

I am told the same scenes happened in the 1970’s when the south Indians living in Mumbai and more recently with the bihari’s and baiyass living in Mumbai.

Leave the normal citizens aside event he stars like Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh khan had to face the brunt of the so called political class. When these stars themselves had to face the brunt forget the common man.

The issue with Amitabh I am told was him praising the Allahabad and Shah was about having pakistani players in his team. These people had to face the brunt of the political class by violence to the man on streets and also tearing away of the posters of their films .But more importantly creating a fear cykosis in the people themselves.

Are we a guinune democracy if we are not able to speak out issues touching our heart?
I am told that the freedom of speech also states that we are not supposed to  hurt the sentiments of the people, which are grossly misused by these politicians. I am sure that neither shah rukh nor amitabh bachchan were hurting the sentiments of the people.

So are we still a republic which functions on the whims and fancies of these netas who use political gunmanship. They do have the right to respond by saying they do not agree with the person. Also at these points in time none of the so called other progressive  democratic parties have condemned the incidents by their contemporaries or supported the victims plight.

Are these qualities of a vibrant democracy or a so called timid neta raj ?.

Though coming back to the N-E the response from the parliament has been in Union and has been categoric  and quick ‘That people from any part of India can live anywhere’.

A wise person  has said life is about serving not gunning them down.

WINNERS TO STAY

Roger  Federer  Swiss national , World no 1,a global icon and  Argentinean  Juan Martin Del Potro played a marathon match of Olympics yesterday, the longest ever . I am told when the match began the lokpal bill got drafted and by the time the match ended the lokpal  bill got passed .

The scores 3-5,7-6,19-17 for over four hours and 20 minutes.

Roger Federer , Lional Messi and Adam Gilchrist what do these people have in comman.
They are all winners, champions.

And so what separates them from the very hardworking non medallists.

Whenever they enter the court the ground they believe that the place  belongs to them. They feel that every shot they  hit will fetch a goal and every serve will be an ace. They know that they are to win ,and their calmness reflects that, for all 365 days of an year.Whoever the opponent they know they are to win every match .

And is it over exuberance of a teenager ,no it is not ....it is a consistent preparation and perseverance over a long period of time that makes them feel winners whatever the podium, the Olympics or the world cup.

And do they have it very easy, they do make it look very simple be it a Lional Messi  dodging all the defenders or Adam Gilchrist hitting all over the park.

No it not that easy ,even the world no 1 failed to win a French open till a long time, and his words reflected “ I have enough motivation left in me so that i can come back here and win the title again ” when he lost the semis  and he won the next year showed his perseverance and hunger to fight for every point and win.

Spare a thought for the Juan Martin del potro ,did he lose ,no he made a champion work for every point ,that is what champions do.

Words,Speeches and Actions

Speeches have the power to create action
Speeches also have the power to create a reaction
It has the ownus to create destruction
Words also have the power to create a revolution
Words can cause wars, words can also create peace
Words can cause sorrows and pain
Words can also bring cheer and happiness
Words have the power to destroy ,as well as create
Words lead to resentment, resentment leads to violence
A speech has the power to influence people, inspire people
Words are the like needles they can pierce the  hearts
Also they have the power to soothe a person in distress
Words are like weapons being hurled at a enemy and remember  both cannot be recalled back.
Words, words, words have to be used with discrimination

Payasam Food Chains

Usually I have heard  expecting mothers say “mujhe kuch katta khane ko dil kar raha hai.”.
Usually whenever I am expecting or even not expecting , I do feel like having ‘PAYASAM’(Kheer).

Though usually I encounter the problem that payasams are restricted to temples and festive occasions like Onams and marriages , and have no food courts  to feed my frequent payasam  desires.

Suddenly my mind comes across the possibility of having payasam centres all over  kerela, south india and later all over India and abroad like Payasam food chains, similar to that of lassi’s joints or fastfood corners like McD’s.

Payasam’s are sweet rice pudding or kheer as it is called in  hindi .
There are many varieties of payasams like Aravana,Paal payasam,Nei payasam,Semia payasam,Parripu payasam,Palada Pradhaman to name a few.

All these varieties along with the sprinkle of coconut milk added on to them make a payasam  more yummy.

The endeavour that payasams are restricted to temples and festive occasions will certainly make it a financially attractive venture and also making it available every other day for desparate consumers like me.

And i am sure that the  devasam board  do not hold any copyright or patent to Payasam’s being made available other than the temples.

Independent Investigating Agency:CBI

There are millions of Americans who are clever and fearless, but the trouble is they are only four years old.-Anonymous

Once there was a competition between the FBI, Scotland Yard and CBI from India to decide the most effective investigating agency.

The task given to them was to find a white deer accused for corruption ‘eating more grass rather specified’.

Now the FBI found the deer and brought its head in 20 min.
Scotland Yard took around 25 minutes to solve the case.

The CBI was not to be seen even after  5 -6 hours, till the evening they did not come up. The media did try and locate them -----they found CBI had caught a monkey and was asking it to repeat that ‘I am a deer’  ‘I am a deer’.In the end the monkey gave up saying it was deer....

One media journalist  identified the monkey to be a deer and  asked the CBI about it.

The officer replied it had got a call stating  that the deer was an endangered species  and ‘not to touch it’ by the government of India.

Reservations: AARAKSHAN

Natural inclinations,
unrequited vindications,
unadorned specifications.

These all make for reservations
of forced vacations -
like a sad
and elongated
Pythagorean theorem
that always equals = a bad poem

Its like the pears advertisement the girl in the add.  Seems to be saying –
“Mummy mummy mujhe jaldi se pears jaise sundar bana do...”
Just with a change “Mummy Mummy mujhe jaldi se jaldi SC/ST bana do.”

The argument given in favour of reservations has been that of opportunities not being available for the backward sections of the society of the last 60 years and the gross injustice done to them, hence the reservations in these government jobs and higher educational institutions. Also being said is that 52 % of the population has  been backward castes therefore 27 % has to be reserved for them based on census done in 1931.

I am very sure if mayavati had her way she would make that the PM and president of India should also be reserved.

So lets get to the facts has the caste based reservations really improved the social status of these people or has it been just to serve the political interests of a few.The mandal commission itself mentions a series of steps to empower people like -the radical alteration in production relations through progressive land reforms;
  • special educational facilities to upgrade the cultural environment of the students,
  • with special emphasis on vocational training;
  • separate coaching facilities for students aspiring to enter technical and professional institutions;
  • creation of adequate facilities for improving the skills of village artisans;
  • subsidised loans for setting up small-scale industries; the setting up of a separate chain of financial and technical bodies to assist OBC entrepreneurs.
The policy makers have been very selective in their implementation of the recommendations  mandal commission.

The provision for creamy layer seems creamier than a pastry form mongines as it mentions the gross annual income for a period of three years to be consistently more than 2.5 lakhs that excludes income from agricultural derivatives and salary (don’t understand which income they are looking at)

Reservations  have definitely tried to create more acrimony in the society than harmany with the self interest of the politicians who have been very short sighted in their self interest for power rather for positive change towards the nation.Reservations have been a body blow to the meritocracy and promoting mediocracy.

Reservations have also paved way for rampant corruption in admission to educational institutions ,issuance of fake caste certificates and government jobs.

I am sure the real benificiaries have been the so called politicians and not the people really intended to benefit from it.The need is to empower people by providing knowhow, training, skills ,free loans , healthcare to take better decisions rather than give reservations that actually makes them weak .

The 25% reservations into RTE for economically backward would be a step forward to eliminate reservations based on caste, community or religion.

I am sure the effective  measures to empower these people would get taken by the collective wisdom of the political parties rather than taking India 60 years backward.

GAY MARRIAGES

Moral authority is never retained by any attempt to hold on to it. It comes without seeking and is retained without effort -Mahatma Gandhi

It is sad that Barak Obama,a world leader, a Nobel  laureates  has chosen to take a stand of legalising  gay marriages.

Its sad, he has stopped to the level of ordinary politicians, making policies for political gains.
Statistics show one in six in the Obama campaign is funded by a gay, that means if he choses to take a stand against he would lose the elections. But then Obama is looked up to as a world leader and not an  ordinary person and leaders are supposed to set a path or give a direction to the world. I wont be surprised , that  after this many  more countries would follow suit.

The words of the great Martin Luther King come to my mind -
“I am not interested in power for power's sake, but I'm interested in power that is moral, that is right and that is good. If we are to go forward, we must go back and rediscover those precious values - that all reality hinges on moral foundations and that all reality has spiritual control.”

Interesting has been the views of Santorum the republican candidate who withdrew against Mitt Romney. He has stated his stance that marriages are for procreation and should be between only one man and one women not with the same sex.I agree completely with Mr. Santorum and even find justification in the scriptures that state the  purpose of marriage as procreation .

Osho had stated boredom as a reason for people getting into homosexual tendencies. People getting bored with their opposite sexes.

North Carolina voters have passes a constitutional amendment banning gay marriages.

Something which is against nature cannot be promoted or propagated, hence the argument that gay marriages should be legalised does not find any basis,as it is not in tune with nature.

I stand to say that I acknowledge the gay community but I would be against propagating or promoting it.So when somebody legalises gay marriages he or she is promoting something not in tune with nature. The alarming risk posed by such a stand in the next decade would be ‘procreation’ and having a dead world.

Coming back to India, the gay activists who fight for the rights of gays & transgenders is also interesting.Indian government has shown flipflop in its policy on gay rights in Supreme Court of India.

Specifically the issue of rights of transgender (don’t see how gays have any less rights than i have).

Yes there is social apartheid with these transgender hence they get pushed into unwanted activities which does give rise to serious diseases, but does that qualify for reservations for them in jobs or educational institutions. I am strongly for jobs for them, since they are physically stronger they could get absorbed into physically laborious work, this could be the first step to move them out of their inertia., though I am against any sort of reservations.

On a lighter note, somebody asked if we would need separate bathrooms for transgender with the board as Trans,I said no we could create more restrooms for women.

AGNI V

                        Strength respects strength---APJ Kalam

Morning news headlines read “ AGNI V released, superhit” , I thought  it was Ram Gopal Verma’s  5th attempt at making Sholay, but no it was India’s 1st intercontinental antiballistic missile and a nuclear deterrent with China.

It has capability of 5000 KM weighting 50 tonnes and provided India with a capability to target any location in Africa, Asia, and China other than US. But then India track record of non proliferation has been of absolute impeccable and surely it would be used as a deterrent.

India has on its part demonstrated great restraint and tolerance with its loving neighbous Pakistan and china.
AGNI V has many point out is a game changer for India in many ways ,as the scientist pointed out that everything went absolutely perfect while the launch meeting out all the parameters with precision.
India progressed in its AGNI mission from Agni 1 with its 700 km dive to AGNI 3 with 3500 km range to AGNI 5 which is a 5000 km range. It has been an incremental and structured progress made by enormous efforts from the scientific community.

Indian missile capability had been an due to persistent efforts from dedicated Indian Scientists and visionaries  from Vikram Sarabhai to APJ Kalam to Madhavan Nair to VK Saraswat. It is due the perseverance  of many more team members, inspite of failures and technological sanctions.By these people it had been proved that hard work and dedication one can achieve whatever one needs too.
International community has taken note with China response has been guarded saying India as a Partner and US saying India as a Nuclear power.

World, take note, India, has arrived into the Big stage.

And thank god AGNI V is not an RGV flick.

The Dilemma of a Political Aspirant

Decisions are easy when  no options are left.-P.V.Narasimha Rao

Being unemployed and having no work to do, my attention was captured by Indian politics and since ,one is required to join a political party to enter politics,  I decided to do a primitive study  on Indian political Parties so that i could make up my mind  on which political party to join.

Since I am in the habit of watching pornography,I thought why not join the Bharati Janata Party,I am sure the latest clips would be easily accessible.

But then since I am also a great admirer  of Lokpal I thought why not be in Congress.

But then since I am against any petrol price hike why should I not be in the Left front.

But then  since I am very ambitious and  would want to be the prime minister at the earliest though dont have the numbers why not join the Nationalist Congress Party (Read close to  sharad pawar) .

But then since I am very clear that i am  not a beggar I thought why not join Didi, and Trinamul Congress Party.

But since I am very keen to do it  all alone I thought why not join the the Bijju Janata Dal .

But since I am very found of historical monuments why would I not join the Bahujan Samaj Party.

But since my friends from bihar  plan to get employed in MOON as there are no opportunities remaining on earth and i being  unemployed, and as the reality prises in Mumbai are getting no better, i am sure Mr Nitish kumar being  a visionary as he is , joining  Mr .Nitish Kumar and Janata Dal (United) would be a very good option.

But then i am not used to attending my school from the school days,I am sure joining the DMK would be the best option as I would not be required to attend the parliament at all.

After having gone through  the fundamentals of all the like minded parties I am very sure the election commission would consider my dilemma and bring about certain REFORMS so that I am able to join multiple like minded partied simultaneously.

Pity the Leaders

"Leaders tell me why is the dawn so far
Readers tell me why is the light so far”

Pity a Prime minister that cannot support his own minister
Pity a Prime Minister who cannot support his own cabinet minister,
how will he support an aam aadmi
Pity a Prime minister who cannot support his minister who delivered
Pity a Prime minister who supported who never won an election
 (read P Chidambaram)
Pity a Prime minister who threw away a person who was not corrupt
 (read Shashi tharoor)
Pity a Prime minister who did not throw away  a minister who was corrupt
 (read A Raja)
Pity a Prime minister who does not support a value a human resourse
Pity a Prime minister who always finds an excuse on policy paralysis in left
or the left of left (read TMC)
Pity a Finance minister who feels  that the budget(read rail budget) getting tabled
is more important than the person who presented the budget
Pity a nation that does not have leaders

Once my friend told me if you have to find leaders you have to go to US.

As for Dinesh Trivedi-We wish him best wishes on finding
the apporopriate book ” The Rise of Hitler in Parliamentary Democracy

Courtesy: People who did not know Dinesh Trivedi-

Needed: Walls with strong foundations

Determination, grit, perseverance, strength, concentration will always be what this person will stand for.

Wicketkeeper, opener, middleorder batsman ,slip fielder, vice captain, captain are the few roles this person has enacted consisitenly in his cricketing career.

Refering back to an ininings versus bangladesh scoring seven of 37 deliveries and all the shots played were good to land beyond boundaries but could only find the fielders. This is one of the many such countless knocks wherein one just felt to ease the man out in the middle by going to him and getting him back to the dressing room though the grit, stubborness of staying at the wicket is unparalled earning him a deserving nickname "WALL".

Just felt sometimes had this person applied the same level of effort and concentration he applied to his batting ,in some other prefession is would have been the owner of 2 virgin islands.

Facts as I always say are boring ,whether it is 2nd fastest fifty, the highest no. of Test catches, or 10 thousand 20 thousand or 25 thousand runs, you will always be remembered for your qualities you have given back to your profession. And definetely you have left a legacy each one of us in the world would cherish to acheive.

Just the way you left today with dignity, spirit and grace.

Take a bow to an INDIAN CRICKETING LEGEND RAHUL DRAVID.
