Bhagat Singh v/s Mahatma Gandhi

My job is to take wickets, not turn the ball.-Anil Kumble

Bhagat Singh is most definitely a martyr, and his contribution to freedom struggle is unparalleled. But then he was hanged to death for taking revenge on Lala Lajpat Rai’s death.

I think he became myopic in his vision. My personal believe is that is lost track of the vision or the greater goal of accomplishing the freedom of India.

In the pursuit of winning a battle ,he lost the war.

It is sad that we lost a freedom fighter, for a battle and lost a war.

In retrospect Mahatma Gandhi had a higher goal or vision in mind of attaining independence from the British Raj.Mahatma Gandhi in turn did accomplish his biggest goal of life, in which many others had failed miserably,of attaining Purna Swaraj for India.I think The Father of the Nation deserves total credit for that.

I have often seen youth despising at Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals and praising Bhagat Singh for his valour and courage.

But a task half done is not done.

Fortunate to be born in an Infosys Era

Valuable advice can sometimes come from an unexpected source, and chance events can sometimes open new doors.-NR Narayana Murthy

I have always prided the fact that I have been born in an Infosys era.Infosys has always been an Indian pride for each one of us in school. We have always looked up to Infy as an Indian brand.

Vishal Sikka ,CEO Infosys,is easily one of the most credible CEO’s around the world and  would do a lot of good if he comes down to India, and settles down here.

It is easier to manufacture an Indian worldclass car for India roads with Indian people, being in India than being in United States.

Also the important aspect is the cultural mix that India brings, being with people from India, drinking a cutting chai from roadside tapri,or a Kitchdi from punjabi dhabba ,the cultural and moral value sets like doing more with less need to be ingrained and keep being reminded of it again and again, happens best when one is connected deeply with one’s roots.Only then can we acquire wings that fly higher.

My Favourite Malayalam Songs

खुदी को कर बुलन्द इतना कि हर तकदीर से पहले
खुदा बंदे से खुद पूछे बता तेरी रजा क्या है
                                                                     - अलामा इक़बाल

Something which has left me awestruck about Kerala is the lyrics of the malayalam songs.Malayalam lyrics have always been extremely beautiful. The writers leave you touching the soul. They write on Krishna (Lord), nature and life itself. The lines are melodious, hummable and one wants to keep listening to them again and again. It grips you, make one feel happy, and elevates one to ecstasy. It gives a breath of fresh air to the people of the a state consumed with alcohol, strikes and political murders.

My favourite songs:

Updations and Additions

Other Songs
Ayyappa Song
A tribute to all the writers (lyricist) of these beautiful words.
